China Life Insurance (referred to as China Life) is a state-owned super-large financial insurance company, which is headquartered in Beijing and belonging to the world's top 500 enterprises and China's top 500 brands. It is a central financial enterprise. The company was formerly known as the People's Insurance Company of China, founded in 1949. In 1996, the company was divided into China Life Insurance Company Limited, and in 1999, it was renamed China Life Insurance Company. In 2003, approved by the State Council and the former China Insurance Regulatory Commission, the former China Life Insurance Company was restructured and changed into China Life Insurance (Group) Company.
